NUT Disabled Teachers’ Conference
Message from Kevin Courtney:
An agent of change
Last year Paul came along to the NUT’s disabled teachers’ conference and said it gave him “some great ideas to take back and reminded me that I need to be an agent of change”.
Andrea said that, for her, the conference had been “an opportunity to share experiences and strengthen the fight for the right of disabled teachers to be fully recognised within the classroom and beyond”.
We know there’s so much work for NUT members to do on disability rights for teachers and getting a fair chance for disabled students and their families.
Would you like to join us? Register for our next national event, which takes place on Saturday 14 October in London.
You’ll meet teachers from different schools and connect and share ideas about life in school and in your Union. The programme has a particular focus on hidden impairments.
Any NUT member with a physical or health impairment is welcome.
