Strike day and demonstration widely supported.

The NUT held a hugely successful strike day on 05/07/2016. The NTA contingent was one of the biggest. Many thanks to all NTA members who supported the strike and especially to those members who attended the demonstration. We need to ensure that our schools are defended, together with teachers’ national pay and conditions.

Thanks to Iain Hale and Miriam Scharf for the photographs.

To give out to parents explaining why we are going on strike – there are two versions in the pdf download file, one which has space to add details if they want to organise a meeting, the other has information on how parents can support us. Please feel free to use these locally.

Urgent Appeal For Stewards:

We wish to identify six colleagues from your association who can act as stewards for the day – this will help us make sure we have a well organised march and rally and are able to deal with any media scrum should any celebrities turn up. Please inform the NTA President.
